Job description

· New Product Introductions

    o Assists Commodity in panel reviews and sourcing selections

    o Ensures Supplier understanding and compliance with Honeywell specifications, processes and procedures

    o Supports and validates proper application of automotive Quality tools & techniques (PFMEA, SPC, 8D…)

    o Supports on-time availability of interim deliveries such as prototypes and ODT

    o Facilitates resolution of open APQP items between Supplier and Honeywell Departments

    o Qualifies supplier manufacturing process in terms of Quality and Capacity

    o Ensures on-time availability of complete PPAP documentation and parts

    o Manages potential deviations through interim PPAP and works on timely resolution

    o Manages permanent corrective actions addressing supplier incidents throughout the process as required

· Value Engineering and Resourcing

    o Contributes to Gross Matex achievement with ideas on waste reduction and product / process improvements

    o Manages implementation of identified projects in analogy to the New Product Introductions process

· Production Quality

    o Monitors supplier performance metrics and deploys improvement plans accordingly

    o Performs periodic process audits at supplier sites and tracks gap closure

    o Assists Garrett Motion Plant Quality with purchased component non-conformities and drives resolution plans as needed

    o Actively ensures deployment of lessons learnt and best practices at Supplier and shares across the Commodity

Requirements

· Communication in a clear and concise manner

· Excellent personal organization and capable to plan and manage his own work

· Work experience in a matrix environment within multinational teams

· Ability to meet commitments, results oriented, effective team work skills

· Strong organizational skills to prioritize and execution of action plans

Experience & Education required / sought

· Manufacturing plant and Production machining process experience

· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and significant work experience

· Technical background in automotive or aerospace industry – preferably casting and / or machining

· Ability to understand drawings and technical specifications

· Six Sigma experience – Lean Expert or Black Belt is a plus

· Knowledge in Product & Process Auditing, preferably based on VDA 6.3

· Knowledge of Quality tools & practices such as AIAG – APQP, PPAP, D&PFMEA, DOE, ISO TS-16949…

· Problem solving analysis skills with a logical and methodical approach (8D, 5Why, Cause/Effect Diagram)

· Fluent spoken and written English – knowledge of a second language is a plus
