We are looking for a System administrator with 3+ years of experience with Linux systems, Atlassian applications, Scripting, and focus on Networking.

Job description

✔️ Provide and maintain infrastructure for R&D teams / OpenStack administration in R&D labs

✔️ Atlassian Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket application admin for our central Atlassian instances located in Prague data center

✔️ Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, storage, etc.

✔️ Install and configure systems such as visualization hypervisors, virtual machines, file servers, FC components, switches

✔️ Research and recommend innovative, and wherever possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale

✔️ Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

✔️ Configure daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up

✔️ Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary

✔️ Investigate and troubleshoot issues

✔️ Occasionally help our customer support teams troubleshoot hardware and low-level issues on production systems

✔️ Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies

✔️ Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary

✔️ Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required

✔️ Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment

✔️ Maintain up-to-date records of hardware inventory, networks, etc.


✔️ 3+ years of system admin experience with Linux systems

✔️ Experience administering Atlassian applications, mainly Jira and Confluence is welcome

✔️ Focus on automation – automate yourself out of the job

✔️ KVM, Docker
